wow another year has gone by! no posts in 2011 at all. haha my bad. been busy with other stuff. this will be a long post. im in the mood to write.
happy birthday to me! 28 and 一事无成. im just a normal guy leading an ordinary life.
so i had 3 weddings last last year. karen, andrew and my cousin. and i had another 4 last year. iwan, bruce, melvin, daniel. this year will be my turn, along with gareth, kun and kaichiat. so much for not attending weddings in 20 yrs.
oh and no, i din mod my vw anymore. no stage 1. cos of the unreliable gearbox. just useless but cheap cosmetic mods. and yes the gearbox mechatronics broke down again at 61k. took 1.5 days to repair this time round, vs 5 days previously, cos gearbox wasnt replaced this time. fantastic technology, but unreliable. oh yes, 45k servicing costed 306. 60k servicing costed 480. yes VCS gave extended 5 year warranty, but im not gonna leave it to chance that it will fail at 90k, and certainly not risk driving it to KL. so, no im not buying my dream BMW. not with current COE and salary. im going back to basics, and downgrading to jap. so i did it, its untrue that u'll never go back.
so million dollar qn. what jap car? tracy hates subaru. and the evo. rx8 is impractical. so its back to my old dilemma: FD2R vs CL7R. CL7R is cheaper but older. and lacking in everyway compared to the FD2R. simple solution. and the hunt began for a stock FD2R. no white pls. lesson learnt from summer rain version 1. no black either. din find any blue or purple on sgcarmart. 3 silver ones shortlisted. 1 bought. now im waiting for loan approval. luckily insurance isnt terribly expensive. lower than i expected. petrol also friendlier compared to wrx and evo. im so gonna keep this car stock. LOL!
