received some presents today. from my jc clique. so nice of them to always remember and bother to give presents. a man utd calendar and a car signage.... coolz. though im not as into soccer as b4.... but i still like man utd.

29 Dec 2007: a pissifying saturday, but im still happy
woke in the morning happily to go online. was online 17 hrs yesterday and din even get disconnected. but damn the PC spoilt. spent the whole day trying to fix it. now it seems ok, although it spoilt again when i installed SP2. cranky comp. downgrading to singnet. cos starhub too exp. hope its ok.... my sis pc now switches on quickly too. thanks to a new power supply.

life is beautiful recently. 2007 was really a fantastically wonderful year for me. when all my wishes came true. hope 2008 is as good. im currently attempting to save $$. so no mods at all for the car. in fact im thinking about dekitting. selling my last pair of oakley too. anybody wants? attempting to sell my models too. shld i lower prices? and i've decided.... to go for a 2007 2.5 WRX. haha. but im very fickle with regards to this. so dun take my word for it. theres simply no other car which is as affordable and as fast. a 2007 one will ensure it is still quite new, i hope. this year is the 1st time i ever celebrated xmas too. so nice..... the carolling, the cards, the presents. now really looking forward to jan. hope its as wonderful as dec. din really finish my fyp as i intended to over the hols, but now my priorities have changed. so cant blame me. haha.

oh my goodness!!! i am so damn high!!!
within just 4 days.... 2007 became a super duper fantastic year, instead of being juz merely a good one. i am like so high now. w/o even drinking any alcohol. wow. i cant wait to tell my parents. and all my frenz who have advised and supported me through this period. i really appreciate and cherish them so much. i am soooo lucky to have met them, though there arent many of them. but its ok.... i've always believed in quality over quantity anyway.
so now i present..... the best moments of my life: 21st and 24th Dec 2007
March 2002: The day i got my A Level results which allowed me to enter NUS. i was so worried i wouldnt do well and couldnt make it to university.
14 March 2005: The day i collected my 1st car. and a spanking new one at that. its a lifelong dream fulfilled.... and so early too! totally unexpected.

March 2000: I did poorly for my O Levels. and i nv felt so down in my whole life before. I also realised ALL the frenz i had din really care. but i am also thankful i did poorly. cos i emerged very much stronger and learnt to be independent. and the JC frenz i met have became my closest frenz now. so, it really was a blessing in disguise.
9 June 2005: my dear grandpa passed away. hope he had a good life! really miss him. i also miss my 6th uncle who passed away when i was very young. and my JC math tutor Mr Looi, who passed away in march 2005. really thank him for his guidance though i always nv did his tutorials. so guilty

still very fast
if only it was always this fast. den maybe i wouldnt have stopped writing. MAYBE.
so how do you find my new colour scheme? very minimalist right? no pics, no videos, no irritating songs. no lame self-intro shit. i love minimalism. if u all realised too, i changed my MSN fonts too. no more gay pink shit. juz black and white. my 2 fave colours. and i cut down alot on emoticons too. sometimes they r juz irritating. still havent have the heart to delete them ALL yet though. juz like i havent had the heart to sell ALL my models. haiz. i know myself. i will start re-collecting, even if i sold them all. juz like i know i will change to a faster ride, though i wanna be happy wif my rio. i am MAD!

was very very happy yesterday. think i was as happy as when i got my A level results. and when i got my first car. think they are the best moments of my 24 years (in a few day's time la). so 1 down, 2 to go. now im currently stuck with my FYP. hope i can resolve it soon. life is good. haha. now theres only 1 thing to worry about. or 2.

my god it still takes so long to load
well. i know i said i wun update anymore. but i suddenly felt like writing. so i thought i might as well write in this blog i created. but it still takes so long to load the post page. haiz. lousy lousy. nearly took the mood to write away. luckily it loaded.... i was about to give up. these recent few weeks have seen extreme fluctuations in my spirits. from extreme happiness to extreme despair. and i realised that i had nobody to share them with. what a F up 23 years eh? but its ok.... i had long ago learnt to be independent, and be strong. "friends" & "bros", what a bucket load of flying crap.
anyways.... moving on. well i last left some words in july i believe. so it has been 4 months and my exams are around the corner. but i havent even started studying.... i really couldnt give a damn. haha. the luxury of knowing that i am firmly stuck in my honours class. no need for that desperate session of mugging in hope that i can pull up my CAP. how's that for relaxation??? this sem has been quite ok.... 3 day week. what more can i ask for? i did consistently keep up with my work. quite proud of myself. cos i know that while im stuck, i surely do not wish to see a drop.
of coz, there is FYP stress. and i was truly stressed though no one knew. the difficulty of getting the sensors. and setting everything up. the impossible difficulties with the SMDs. the numerous problems.... really glad to say i managed to conquer them, for now.... hope i can make significant progress during the dec holidays. so i'll truly be relaxed in my last sem. not accelerated, but at least i can focus on other areas in my life. anyway this is one of the reasons im feeling quite happy.... there are 2 others, but i guess i'll savour them on my own
sadly 1 of the happy reasons turned out to become 1 of the reasons i became very sad. but i guess im just like that and it cant be helped, even if i did prepare. or maybe i din prepare very well, but i believe i did what i could. of coz on hindsight i know i can do better. anyways, better luck from now on, i hope? other sad reasons included my 4604 quiz 2. buang quite badly i think. nv study properly and skipped the diagrams. no point regretting. the 4606 project. total last min. work. i dun know if its enough. but its group work afterall, not totally within my control. i oredi did what i could. presentation din go that well too. hope i dun get lower than a B. 2002 presentation.... i hanged. thanks to the 1.5 hrs of sleep i got the previous night due to the stupid car. but i think its negligible. i hope. anyways i hope i dun get lower than a B for this too. the report was crap too. 3206 is quite ok surprisingly. but the exam will be crucial. anyways given my low expectations, i do hope they are realised. it aint that hard is it?
haha hope my vip is ok.... dun think i'll get a U? and i got my aid. very happy. not tuition-ing much nowadays. no $$, but the time i have is so so shiok. lol. lovely. maybe, just maybe, i'll 4get about the stupid wrx. IF there are better things in store. i'll even sell the rio. hope i wun be disappointed.... yes, im fearful, but at least theres hope, finally. well even if i am disappointed in the end, i did have a really really really enjoyable day.... think it will be among the all-time feel good moments in my life. haha im blabbering nonsense... cos if u had read till here, u wun understand a single thing ive been trying to say in this post. too bad, as long as i do, this post has served its purpose.
and i did say i wun spend on the car anymore. guess what? i changed to a short shifter.... i sold my beloved MOMO knob. den i changed brake pads cos the right side was totally gone. dun know why it MIA or AWOL. den i patched my tyre cos a nail went into it. no puncture, but well i dun wanna risk it. and den the coolant hose cracked and caused my car to overheat. wasted my sleeping time, along wif pat and tracy's. damn it man a 30cm pipe can stop a car. actually i do love my car. but its not fast enough. and petrol is nearly $100. haiz. no studying at nus for me this sem. what i like is that i have alot of options. tts good.
movie update. i caught 2 lousy ones. the number 23 and 1408. nonsense. next was rendition. not bad, juz that the guy was pathetically suay. hmm next was lion and lamb? quite chim and abit nicer than rendition. another 2 suay pple. den i caught lust caution. not a bad movie. but weird ending. and very graphic. den doraemon. so funny. but lameass plot. but it was a very very very good movie in other ways. now for the exams.... cant wait!

wooo. an update!
how's that? finally managed to log in and post an update.
recent weekends were damn busy. worked for Kevin for last last last sat the whole day. sunday was spent going out. last last sat went ktv. sun was spent cycling and bowling. last sun was spent blading.. couple of blading sessions actually. slowly getting the hang of it. and a geylang dinner-durian-ktv trip somewhere in between. LOL. not to forget a late night ktv session last last thu.
summer rain is same old same old. 46k soon and i still haben serviced. till school opens ba. no mods, though i was a little itchy. shall control it. the bank loan is down to 31k.... breaking even soon i think. 3 weeks of the internship left. argh and school's gonna start liao. better mambo once and go malaysia once. and play more these few weeks. muahaha.
caught Transformers too... not too bad. hmmm caught Lost 3 halfway.... feeling unsatisfied.

the $150k post. and movie update
wah. hard to blog man. had a tough time creating this post.
anyway, for the record, patrick said he will save $150k in 5 yrs time, ie. 12/06/2012. as for me, my humble aim is to save $10k 1 yr from now. but i calculated and found it quite impossible. perhaps i'll settle for $7k.
i just caught Ocean's Thirteen. been watching lotsa movies recently. quite nice. and i bot my blades. had the 1st lesson on sunday. hope i can learn to play. im damn red now. played tennis, swam, and bladed. cool!

i just caught Ocean's Thirteen. been watching lotsa movies recently. quite nice. and i bot my blades. had the 1st lesson on sunday. hope i can learn to play. im damn red now. played tennis, swam, and bladed. cool!

reality of life
however much i love the wrx, sometimes reality bites me in the ass. and being the rational person that i am, i will accept the fact that i may not be able to buy the wrx anytime soon. till i earn big bucks that is. 1 big reason may be that my work doesnt allow me to drive. eg. CBD. in that case i will even sell summer and take public transport. sad man.
but i've been taking public transport for a sustained period recently. 4 weeks to be exact. back to the days when i was car-less and envious of car owners. and guess what. public transport is dirt cheap. i can drink however much i want and take a cab home and its cheaper than driving. only disadvantage is waiting for the bus. and the squeeze. and the lack of seats. and the slow speed. and the long time taken.
sometimes a car is even more inconvenient. theres ERP. theres ridiculously expensive parking. theres the trouble of finding parking when u reach ur destination. so a car is not so desirable sometimes. u cant drink if driving. pros and cons. but really. if i dun drive to work, i wun bother to give tuition to pay for a car. i rather go out or slack at home and not need to pay for a car which i dont really use. however sad it is, guess i must be rational. but having said that, i will still NOT mod summer anymore and still save. not necessarily for a wrx, but for a rainy day.... hows that for the reality of life???

its damn gay la.... period.
had a damn freaking hard time logging in to drop some words. to the extent that i simply did not have the mood to blog. anyhow after numerous tries i finally could post this.
last post was way back in april. whoa. anyway the exams had finished and i had a week's break before going to HK for a week. cant remember what i did during the break. lots of tuition definitely. shall post HK when i have the mood. and when blogger freaking co-operates. anyway after that trip i came back and started my internship. quite a nice job and a nice working environment i must say. just that the renumeration is relatively low. oh well what to do.
caught alot of movies. ALOT. Priceless. quite a funny French movie. Summer Palace. a damn gay R(A) chinese movie. Spiderman 3. not too bad la. not as bad as pple told me to be. Pirates 3. damn long and not as funny as expected. but not bad too.
what else. my saving plan is progressing.... serious. no more mods to summer rain. only maintenance. ok old news. right. ok i went on a spending spree after coming back from HK. bot my beloved AIG which my frenz said i wun ever get my hands on. its quite exp but i feel its damn worth it. after all my effort. and the italy experience. i bot shoes too... got my warm and cushy and huggy and comfy hush puppies... too bad about the metro voucher. nvm can spend it on other items. bot the bus concession too. good thing is i pumped petrol once in 24 days. so not too bad. still haben went for 40k servicing though. its 45k now... see when i'll be free.... thinking about buying blades. LOL. continue my spree
oh ya went clubbing on friday. arena -> st james dragonfly. damn cool music at dragonfly. not bad. drank abit at arena for free too. nv clubbed for a long while. nice girls nice cars and nice music. made me gian mambo. LOL. did another activity i havent done in quite a while. played 2 games of snooker with the EXPERT. not too bad lost 1, won 1. he havent played for a long time too... ohh haben washed the car yet... quite dirty oredi. played soccer some time last last week. sat i think. thinking about tennis and badminton.... oh ya and organising a KL trip.... lol so many random thoughts. just penning them down. no pics for now.... lazy to upload la. oh but the new BMW M3 is coming out. drool-icious.

exam season
2 more days and the exams are here! after 26th guess will be pretty relaxed liao... really looking forward to the HK trip. haben blogged for a long time liao... was pretty busy and this damn webpage couldnt work so i din manage to drop any words.
haiz everybody except me and kun will be graduating.... its sian to still be stuck in school. although pple say that student life is good, i dun really like studying for quiz, tests and exams, rushing projects and doing tutorials and assignments... working life sucks but theres monetary compensation... haha wonder if my thinking will change... probably will, since the grass is always greener on the other side.
hmm i more or less decided not to spend on the car anymore... juz maintenance. time to save up. haha. keke gtg. take good care and good luck for those having exams

was nua-ing the whole weekend. thu went to watch The Number 23 wif pat and tian poh. den nua at Mac for a long time talking cock. den went to ECP to eat Kenny Rogers wif pat, W, kevin. tian poh had to go... fri i went to see the 575 GTC Evoluzione with choon. not tempted. sat was sad. man utd lost! haiz dun say liao. yesterday was spent going out to do nothing but talk cock. and eat.

finally can blog.
wassup with blogger. denied me from blogging for 1 month le. i tried repeatedly. and failed repeatedly. perserverance brings me here.
watched 3 movies since the last update. the number 23 with tian poh and pat (not bad la but abit crazy. muz think alot) , mr bean's holiday with choon and bern (lame but quite funny. stupid adrian fake me saying its 2 hrs. its 1.5 u dolt) , pursuit of happyness with pat (not bad la but abit boring) . alot huh? singapore is soo boring, or rather, i like watching movies in air con comfort. easy to organise, not much admin stuff to settle and no need to find alot of pple with same interests to coax and jio out.
went quite mad this sem. wanted very much to rant and rave here. EE2001 project was total madness. went home at 2am quite a few times, 4am twice and 7am once. 7am! omg omg omg. really thank god its over. damn shiong for a 6MC module. hmmm the exams are in 3 weeks. time to mug. and then its HK 2007! and then its VIP. vacation internship program. no news so far...
oh ya summer is 2 yrs old! neglected it very much this sem. all the yucky black stains. i tot of paying for polishing. but W said its more worth to buy the machine and polish myself. damn true. and i have the satisfaction. cool. i waxed the bonnet by hand last nite. shiok. its been a good car. no major problems. thinking of selling my diecast models away to fund remus. after that, no more legal mods to do anymore. doubt i'll mod anymore too. thinking of changing ride once i can afford it. remus provided its acceptably loud. im so jealous vios has HKS. as for diecast models, its been fun and nice but theres no point in leaving them there just to display... lolz. no point for remus too right? scarly have to sell ride. see how la...

blogger is out of beta. interesting. so long it doesnt require pple to pay. else, im gonna move elsewhere or stop altogether. like petrolwatch. maybe its time i removed the decal. doubt anybody wants to pay for petrol information... i certainly did not, and will never do that.
been down on luck recently. the internet connection for my pc is disconnecting frequently. while my sis connection is stable like it should be. i cant live w/o internet access. its among the top 3 gadgets in my life. cant msn, cant email and most importantly, cant do my schoolwork. dun know what the problem is. guess its the wireless adaptor. first the power supply burnt out on me, now this. fortunately my motherboard wasnt burnt down. and hope i dun have to spend much $$ on a new adaptor. the power supply cost $35 only. hehe trying to save $$ now.....

my my. what a bitch.
switching to the new blogger via a google account is a bitch. why do this kinda troublesome thing? esp when the old thing was working fine. the auto create google account function was crap. tried like 5 times but it din work. den i thought of registering at google mail for an account 1st and coming to blogger subsequently. voila it works!
taking a break from winning at blackjack. small bets nia la. friendly friendly game wif the relatives. had wanted to post an entry twice previously, but couldnt due to the dumb google issue.
anyway. i caught a fantastic movie yesterday. At First Sight. low profile movie, but very nice. its about a guy who became blind when he was 3 yrs old. and suddenly got back his eyesight via a cataract operation when he was in his 20s. and only a few weeks later, he became blind again due to some medical problems with his eyes. its a very very good story telling the difficulties of being blind, as well as the difficulties when a blind man can suddenly see. so i guess while there is much unhappiness in life, along with the neverending list of things we want, we should also learn how to appreciate all the things we have. cos i think we always take what we already have for granted, in the pursuit of more things and seemingly, more happiness. while i have to say that im materialistic too, and have an endless list of things that i want, i truly feel very happy to have what i already have now. i would happily stay in the same house and drive the same car. of coz i dun deny that i wanna drive a WRX or even an Evo, but thats provided that i can afford it. i would want a better quality of life if i could afford it. and dreams give us motivation to work harder dun they? but i wouldnt be unhappy if i had to stay in a HDB and drive the rio for 10 yrs... truly.
back to the topic of being materialistic and having a neverending list of wants. i know im materialistic, but honestly i know that once i have something, i will be happy for awhile, and then its back to the same old story. theres yet another thing i want. in that sense, it gains happiness, even though the happiness doesnt last very long. and i realise that when i dun go about getting the thing i wanted, i gradually forget about it and want some other thing again. so i wun really feel very sad, juz maybe some regret. this applies to girls, particularly to 1 relationship. not that i had many. well, life goes on. but this is another story for another day. what i meant to say was that in life, we are faced with many choices. so definitely, life is full of regrets, after we have made our choices. its whether we can pick ourselves up and move on with our lives that makes the regrets painful, or juz feel a little tinge of sadness. i vowed to be strong, and im sure theres better things in store for me. haha, like a WRX.
haha. so philosophical and full of rubbish. the movie made me think about certain events... actually this kinda movie seldom comes about... so thought-provoking, instead of merely being funny or having a very strong storyline. i guess i enjoy a variety of movies, just that this thought-provoking one is very rare and hence i like it very much more. so in the end, i decided not to spend any more $$ on material things and instead, save for the upcoming HK trip. the trip is material too u might say, but i guess this could possibly be the LAST time so many of us are going overseas together. i can imagine how difficult it is for us to all take leave to go overseas together after we are all working and potentially have our own families. i really treasure the times spent with family and friends, much more than just material things. eg. the italy jersey i no longer want to buy, the remus exhaust i gave up for the HK trip. in fact im not spending any more $$ on the car anymore. pls dissuade me if i do. cos from a rational viewpoint, any more $$ WILL definitely be better spent on a WRX. might as well get a WRX earlier, den spend on a car that wun go anymore faster legally. like joseph said, i have already done everything and theres no need to do anymore. i agree, and i hope i will continue to remain rational.
recently i got a great temptation from pat. hush puppies shoes. i tried them and its like your feet get a very warm and snug embrace from a very loving wife. but the cost, and the fact that i do have the nike repaired, stopped me. no kidding they are really comfy. clarks can go 1 corner to relak. and pat said they are durable. the next time im getting shoes, i know where to get them from... and the price isnt much more than stupid beetle bug. haha. i did see $40 shoes from the Isetan sale. but as with sale items, my size was unavailable. what to do.... make do with what i already have. a new shoe isnt vital yet. haiz when will my financial situation improve to the point where i dun have to worry about splurging on things... oh but theres the HK trip.... and i have to save for my WRX. haiz i guess that wun really happen till i graduate and get a job. cant wait!

had a great weekend. singapore won the championship. intended to get the jersey. but W says theres no point. true. but i'll get it if its cheap. man utd won 4-0. stunning play at times. probably getting AIG if they win... and the 04/06 one as well if its cheap. but nothing, if they dun win the league. on the topic of jerseys, i still haben gotten the italy one. not nike or adidas.... summore no stock. worse still, not very nice looking. anyway i mentioned im not gian to buy it anymore. save $$ liaoz haha.
today was an alright day. till the lab when i couldnt figure a way to make the motor work. sianz. was quite happy when the water sensor worked well. arghz got work cut out for me. cant believe i got another year to go. will i survive?
caught blood diamond. not a bad movie. but quite incomprehensible sometimes. failed to get the M3 CSL.... haha save $$, temporarily. sold some stuffz too. oh ya i got my engineered... now thinking whether to get shoes? wun be getting clothes la... too many already. W tempted me wif some shoe. oh ya i made a monumental decision awhile back. decided not to do anything to the car anymore. thats it. enough of $$-wasting. need to save $$ for the next ride already. hope i dun change my mind.... pls dissuade me if i do. thanks.

wishlist (updated wif pics)
to kickstart the year, obviously i got poisoned twice over. first of all i got to know hw cheap BKK was. courtesy of W. stuff may not be original, and may not be durable, but hell its CHEAP. shall go someday.
next, Macworld 2007 introduced a very nice Apple product. Apple has always introduced nice products. they brought the world the Macintosh in 1984. though Intel PCs running Windows took over the world. iMac and iBook were introduced in the late 90s. still, Windows ruled the world. and in 2001, they rolled out the iPod. arghz i got a Creative mp3 cos it was far cheaper. and the Creative was the sole reason why i din get the iPod Mini, and the Nano thereafter. i din really need a mp3 player anymore anyway cos i have little chance to listen to music on such players.
anyway back to topic. 2007 brought along the iPhone. its so damn cool. im gonna get one for sure. to hell with Dopods and O2s. this is THE phone. 3.5" touch screen. no keypads no stylus no nothing. revolutionary. superbly friendly user interface. the scroll and pinch is even cooler than the click wheel. and theres a choice of 4GB/8GB memory and its an iPod too! and i can check my Yahoo mail, surf my webpages in FULL and theres this Google map too. forget WAP and those funny mobile webpages. and its 11mm thin. 2 megapixel camera. no 3G but who cares about 3G. and they promised improvements regarding 3G and who knows what else. all for US$499 for 4GB and US$599 for 8GB. thats about S$750/S$900. time to save up.
someone mentioned i use very cool phones. i agree. 8855 and V3i are very nice-looking phones.
they arent cheap i agree. $648 for 8855 which i find very exp, and $298 for v3i, which is ok. not cheap but not extravagant either. now the iPhone is expensive.... but Dopods and O2s arent cheap either. and their functions cant match up, at least not yet. heh trying to justify why i shld get the iPhone. but actually i only bought 2 phones in my life. i used my sis' 2nd hand phones thrice. 6150, 6510 and 3120. budget right?

2007
no resolutions.... or rather, no new ones. now an update on the past few weeks. memory is very bad cos theres many blanks where i cant rem what i been doing. or rather, im doing nothing much. tuition and car stuff all mixed together. boring stuff. time really flies. been watching prison break. its a very nice show. in fact i think its nicer than LOST, which is getting ridiculous.
23/12. dinner at ocbc... some dishes were quite bad.

27/12. went to eat at millenia walk with w, pat, joe, kun, miss tay. quite a nice restaurant serving jap/korean stuff. not too exp too. and den a long awaited ktv session. miss tay juz whacked all the songs on the list and we were having a hilarious time... i dun sing well, but having a good time together is the fun part, not the singing.
28/12. went jb. din shop. kinda got my rim problem diagnosed. the jam back was very bad. din pump petrol again! next time muz really keep to the extreme left lane.
29/12. amazingly late for the appt that day. spent 1/2 hr queueing from the exit of ECP to the entrance of Vivo. waste of time. caught Death Note 2 wif pat and kun. not bad but abit disappointing.... kinda confusing story... and we ate at the food court... long time since i did that... checked out st james too. but dun really gian clubbing nowadays... though i have a soft spot for mambo. lol
