13/12 wed. cant really rem. think went fish & co's or TM.
14/12. remember liao. went JB for yong tau foo and shopping and strut bar and new open pod setup. muahaha. spend $$ like crazy. but din manage to pump petrol. really crazy day. den went to kop hub caps. lol.
15/12. tuition all day. and wasted the night away at YD.
16/12. went suntec after doing balancing at Shell Tampines.
17/12. went airport to eat. celebrated 2 birthdays in 1.

20/12. went JB!! very happy day. attendees included joe, W, EF and kun. wish everyday was as shiok. with shopping and crayfish. ahhhhh............. but Aeon Tebrau City blackout.... nv got a chance to see it.
21/12. watched Devil Wears Prada and typed the essay at joe's place. and went over to choon's to wash rim and admire his new samsung.
22/12 today. went to pick my aunt who came from canada. ditto uncle jim. omg really nice seeing them. sent them to grand ma's place b4 going ICA cos aunt shirley wanna renew her passport. horlanded my way there from AMK. pathetic. lol. i ain't the walking street directory anymore. but i din rely on internet street directory checks nor take out my map....

8 days since end of exams. and some life lessons

welcome to my little diary.

tue after the paper, went to do my rims. wed went to do my lowering springs and alignment. thu and fri were spent watching vcds. sat went along with Kel to fix his open pod. sun lam nua at home the whole day. mon went along with Kel to fix his BBTB. tue went to cut my gear. spending a scary amount of time at workshops. not to mention $$. and learnt some life lessons yesterday.

qn: hw can someone with only NTC2 own a 4-rm flat, a 2.4 Accord, his own garage and feed 2 young daughters while he tells his wife not to work?? ans: give yourself pressure and work hard. 可以给人骗，不要骗别人。可以给人吃，不要吃别人。work hard for your boss, even if others and even the boss slack. cnfrm will 出人头地。

hmmm naive? but for his case, it works. think shld apply the advice selectively.... take out the 精华。

lam nua sat morn

when nobody needs to work. not pat with DT. not me. surprising right, me not working. think will go fix up my spoiler holes later. and wash the car.... the rims are dirty already.

hmmm got my rims and springs already, as mentioned. i dekitted the spoiler too. and sold it last night. now i have 5 holes on my boot. oh and i fixed back the exhaust tip. can afford to be fickle when i still have it. still haben decided to weld on a tip or change Remus. hence the tip is just a temporary stop-gap measure. muahaha. call me poser.

looks rainy. think will be skipping the swim. and car wash. maybe just the rims... lol. gotta go shit nw. update later, if ever...

a busy week

been very busy this week. mon was spent studying. tue was of coz the exam. den i spent the rest of the day at workshops. ditto wed. thu and fri was VCD day at Joseph's place. whoever said that there will be lotsa time after exams. i haben slept in the afternoon since the exams ended.

anyway a little update on my carpark status. the tiong lancer cs2 is gone. changed to a magentis (so ah pek). ah pek camry is gone, changed to a tucson. alot pple changing from jap to korean car man. the tiong cibic driven by the SSG is gone too. juz changed to a SGP accord. think the accord will kena modded soon. so many 2 litre cars in the car park now. 2 new civic FDs, the usual sunnys and corollas and vios. the wish recently got bodykit. lol. still no wrx or sti. left black vios, wish, cerato. dun know where the white esi went either.

spent alot recently. changed rims and finally lowered. broke, but very happy. if i have to sell the car, i would be very heart pain. will drive min. for 5 yrs anyway. next one shld be remus. gave up ICE and bodykit. buckets shld be out unless i find a very good deal. time to start saving again....

12 days since last update

spent a couple of weeks mugging at the library. well worth the effort. 1 paper down, 2 to go. today wasnt too bad, just that i got couple of MCQs wrong. sucky.

tml will be 2 down. hope its alright. and with my uber cheatsheet....

damn lam nua these 2 days. spent them at home instead of the usual library. slept and slacked whole morning and afternoon yesterday, and pia-ed the textbook the whole night. and spent today morning re-reading the notes juz b4 the exam. likewise, slept the afternoon away today, and juz finished re-reading my cheatsheet and the tutorial qns. looking forward to 5th dec 11am.... guess i'll start playing in the meantime already..... muahahaha

still hoping somebody buy my stuffs. and still waiting for my springs. and enjoying my new HU. and raising funds for new Levi's. and drooling over lowered ride height + big rims....

interesting point raised by pat on sunday. he went w/o servicing his car for 20k! amazing. and he said that cars shld be changed when breakeven hits. cos with the same $500+ instalment can drive new car, why not? problem is of coz the downpayment... cos he said servicing older cars is exp and troublesome. kinda agree with him. the best thing is of coz the new car feeling. change to a lancer/sunny instead of a wrx? abit sianz coz i love the wrx, but maintenance is damn exp. but come to think of it, i wun be changing ride at least till after grad, so i will drive my little rio for 1.5 yrs more min. the most interesting point i realised from the stuff pat mentioned is that once i change ride, all the mods have to be transferred/sold... $$-losing exercise.... maybe shldnt mod so much so when the time comes, changing car wun be so heart-pain. den have to restart the mods again. scarly love the rio so much i cant bear to part with it...

ya ok la muz make a promise here to myself. after lower height, cannot mod car no more. no buckets, no bodykit, no ICE. okok confirm no bodykit no ICE. oh ya still got Remus.... okok Remus and buckets KIV. hehe. i still cant remove all the poison within me. i still remember when i was booking the car, the 5 main expensive (> $1k) things i wanted to do were rims, leather seats, tinting, ICE and bodykit. in the end the most exp mod was the rims for $450 nia. budget la cant help it. tinting was done cheap. ICE, bodykit and leather will never be done. too bad.

amazingly 1 week has gone by. almost 1 week. if u noticed, the blog is simpler now. dun get me?? nvm den.

did alot of shit to the car, amidst the exams prep. i did my 30k servicing. damn cheap. not using Shell anymore as i said. and no, i din go JB. supporting the SG economy u see. anybody who wanna do servicing, i have THE cheap and good lobang. using Chevron Supreme and original Kia filter. dun know what shit filter the workshop used for the 20k servicing. but at least it went 10k w/o giving me problems. but its seriously too exp compared to this new lobang. even JB is too exp. if the oil is good, i'll do the 40k there as well.

i DIY SP-ed the car. got the bitumen sheet as mentioned and DIY-ed it up. pretty simple, except that i got cut. now i know why pple get cut. anyway was quite careful and learnt the lesson. so only ONE cut. no big deal. anyway SP was ok. lesser noise but i cant give percentages. like i dun know how to give percentages to tyre life.... wonder how pple gauge. anyhow zham one i suspect. the thud sound.... a very little bit more solid nia. hexy said theres no difference. KNN. dun know whether to carry on anot. cos i did only 1 layer b4 the material went out. the audio shop said it was enuf for 1 layer anyway. perhaps i'll consider after my exams. maybe i'll do the other door and the 2nd layer for this door.

hmm oh ya i din service the brakes. muz go tyre shop to do... heh. that will wait. i already waited so long anyway. ever waited so long for something that u lost the gian to buy it?? think its happening to the Italy jersey. buay gian to buy liao. haha. save the $$ for other things. waiting for alot of things man. sian. if ricky still no stock den no choice liao i will go stamford to get my springs....

here it is. long time nv blogged liao. about 1.5 months to be exact. no mood + no inspiration + no time. been busy with school. anyway, i nv do much to my car la. pics will be uploaded when im free and in the mood.

changed my lorry rims to 15" Scorpion. CMI la, it looks too small. but handling improved alot. this Nankang tyre isnt bad. above expectations in fact.

changed my steering to Momo Millenium. 350mm so its bigger and easier to turn. and the horn is much easier to press. muahaha.

changed to Hella electric horn. "bor bor" instead of the CMI "bip bip"

dekitted my eyelid. no more obvious illegal stuff.

stuck a cute sticker. against my theme but its just so cute. will post pics next time.

fixed Philips Diamond Vision. and all the other lights. now white white bright bright.

going for 30k servicing soon. not using the Shell Helix Ultra liao. too exp. hope to sort out the brake squeaking noise too.

Info on the subaru pig (lifted from somewhere)

The pig is a mascot for the Japanese manga (comic) magazine Young Magazine. The pig appears on Petter Solberg's rally car. For the past two years the pig has only been on the driver's side mirror. Back in 2002 it showed up on the co-driver's side as well, but that seems to have been dropped now. It ONLY appears on Petter's car -- Mikko's car doesn't have it, and Tommi's (when he was with Subaru) did not either. Toshihiro Arai (in the Production championship) has the pig on both of his side mirrors, as well as a little piggie on his driving suit. I suspect that it's a personal sponsor, rather than sponsoring the entire Subaru World Rally Team or STi.

If you want a pig decal, I would recommend checking out www.dreamspeedonline.com, since they have more accurate pigs than the ones pictured in the eBay link. That's where I have my pigs from.

boring overcast afternoon

going for lesson soon. thought might pop by and say hello. the haze is here again. not much sun, and even rained in the morning the past 2 days.

oil was US$20 per barrel in 2001. now its $60. was approaching 80 last couple of months. quite amazing. anyway, heres a little joke. hope its funny.

lazy overcast afternoon

1st entry in 23 days. been busy. and w/o inspiration. looks like its gonna rain. dang! i juz washed and waxed the car yesterday. just finished lessons. dun feel like doing anything productive now. a little tired. a nice little nap perhaps, and waking just in time for dinner?

got back at 3 yesterday. a productive day. did housework, and car work. haben washed it in weeks. pat had to make a trip up to get water. better remind myself to get 1 of those adapters for the tap. went down to town in the evening. 1st pat was late. as usual. some rubbish about not being late anymore since returning from korea. den gqw. kun came and kept bitching about cartel's prices. 11.90 -> 12.90 -> 14.20 for st louis ribs. +10% service charge for no service. water please. bread please. water please. actually i rather not have to pay the 10% and get my own water. my own bread. but the food was ok. no stinky pork. like the one i had in siglap previously. but i couldnt finish the ribs. dun eat much nowadays. getting old.

mollie came and guest starred. despite she telling me that "i wun be gg". den gohqw finally came and we left. a slow rush to millenia for 1-for-1 b4 8pm. we were "rushing" but we actually strolled there. lolz. no 1-for-1, but theres a pretty nifty 20%. mai hiam buay pai lah. the music was good in spurts, but it was just too damned noisy. the 2 guest stars from Cartel ordered Paulaner's, along with the regular cast. den 2 more guest stars came w/o ordering anything b4 we left. by right, for ktv. too exp, too sleepy to go. so by left, we went to Macs at bedok. cool right. crapped till nearly 3am. lots of funny moments. like mollie eating the fabulous fillet. and tianpoh's omfg comments. pat's usual stories. 十年的东西都搬来讲。gqw left early. acting weird again. dun know him. and mollie's marriage plan. these 2 fellas wanna settle down early. and the rest of us are juz idly watching the world go by. we have different priorities. or we are juz waiting.

a blink and its been nearly 5 yrs since we left college. the girls are working already. wonder how many such meetings will there be in future. attendance was 7 pax. not bad considering the size of our class. half present! that reminds me. this gang is getting sporty. had badminton last sun. luminaries like karen (yes can u believe it, karen neo!!) and tian poh. along with the regular cast. and dehong. footie is on the cards tomorrow. looking forward to it. hmmm im sleepy already. bye for now!

Math exam. he is 1 of the best man. and the fastest. 4 out of the 5 fastest 147 breaks in this world were by him. thats why his nick is "the Rocket". he earned 170k pounds in the 5+ min. professional snooker, anybody???

National Day

sem is beginning. sianz. lol, finally watched Pirates of the Carribbean. fortunately it was still showing. ages after it opened. but unfortunately the seating sucked. johnny depp is good man. very funny fella.

pat n joe are back. lol. but the parking kang tao at orchard is gone. knn. nowadays i cant help but believe theres give and take. some are back, some are gone. fortunate things happen, and at the same time unfortunate things happen as well.

hope this sem i will work hard and not get a D again. lol. think Lost 3 is coming out. in sept or oct. haiz now i realise that theres no point doing anything more to the car. perhaps im satisfied already. or perhaps the $$ spent is just $$ down the drain. might as well use it for other purposes. like the $8k downpayment for a wrx. haha. meanwhile im getting sucked into another hobby. fortunately its one where assets appreciate in value, unlike playing cars where things depreciate in value big-time. still thinking about it... shld i really go into it?? now i have another big aim: to go Hong Kong. along with many other aims. haha. neverending list. but i guess it will be very boring w/o any aims, yeah??

1 week left b4 skool starts. 2 actually. juz discovered that NUS still starts later than NTU. tot they started the same time... module bidding next week. this reminds me of something. went all the way to skool juz to reset the god damned password cos i was busy when i was prompted to change passwords and absent-mindedly forgot about taking down the new password i typed. quite pissed off. cock-up system which doesnt allow a reset from home. damn impractical, but oh well what to do. lesson learnt. fortunately i was out that day fixing the car... else pasir ris-> clementi-> pasir ris juz for a password will totally piss me off. hmmm, shant mention the car.

events that passed, or are gonna happen. bidding is a major thing, and im not totally sure wad to bid for yet. shall fix that on monday. had set my heart on it couple of days ago but cant do anything w/o the damned password. now that i have gotten a new one, i cant be bothered to do anything constructive on weekends.

din really sleep much recently. not much sleep outfield. and not much sleep when reverie is at 6am. sometimes 5am. and when theres nothing to do during admin, sleeping the whole day is the norm. not that this happened frequently. plenty of cheap beer though. 330ml of tiger costs $1.20. compared to $3.60 outside. as they say, 120mm mortar men fall in at 1.20am with $1.20 drink cans. and we did.

back to the topic of not sleeping. went Devils Bar on fri. saw argentina frustrated by germany. went home at 3am. went JB the next day. after 1 lesson at 10am. got back at 11+pm. concussed in extra time during the boring boring stalemate between england and portugal. couldnt wake up when france won brazil 1-0. saw the replay yesterday after a round of tennis in the evening. slept alot in comparison last night. lots of sleep tonight too i expect. hmmm time for tuition. bye.

nothing much. stock actually. the difference is juz changing the air box and resonator with the K&N open pod filter. and a long thermal-wrapped aluminium pipe. and a cold air ram intake. its the only performance mod so far. and its the best mod i ever did. but the pipe prevented me from fixing a strut bar. hmmm guess its ok since im doing springs, which makes a far larger impact than a strut bar. no other nonsense like e68, capsule, GNG, volt stab, grounding etc cos i dun believe they work. well except changing extractors. that would work, but its illegal.

din like this car when it 1st came out. as compared to the EK4. well it sorta grew on me. this one has original full bodykit. and original sunroof. and original spoiler. and original 15" sport rims. and 1.7 litre VTEC engine. cool? compared with the current Cibic, think its nicer. still getting used to the new one. looks like a spaceship. with integra rear and odyssey front. hee theres a SGF red plate in the carpark now. rich bugger. or average but wanna act rich so bought an OPC.

haha anyway i changed my rims already. finally! unfortunately they arent 16". and neither are they gold in colour. 17". yum yum. haha just fantasising la. just 15". bo pianz. budget rims budget tyres. so that i have leftover cash for rainy days. for sometimes in life a compromise must be reached. brother brother price for the rims from Kel. his Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 botak liao and he psycho me to change to his so that he can take my Hankooks. in relatively good condition ran 23k km. though grip in wet is non-existent. but lo and behold his marchie couldnt fit my Hankooks and he is now on 15" lorry rims with the 60+k 712. and he says its nice! crazy fella. so in the end i changed. to Nankang i-dunno-whats-the-model. cheap tyre but its brand new and the thread is fierce. wonder hw good the grip is. shall find out soon enough. thinking of wasting $80 on lug nuts. pending since the spanner cant reach the nuts and marchie's $80 nuts cant fit onto kia. selfish korean brand. thought of wasting a separate $80 on dunno-what-you-call-it since marchie once again cant fit perfectly onto selfish kia. but i travelled at 100km/h and there arent vibrations. see how ba. the best is not wasting any $$.

9th day of the holidays

amazingly fast. the holidays started like, yesterday?! my last entry here was on mon. quite surprised i din update for so long. was i that busy?

hmmm lets see. tues was spent on 3 lessons. plus meeting Kel at nite. wed was another 3 lessons. plus going to marina south for dinner. dunno why the heck W and kun decided to go for dinner there. in his words, "go once a year to see the place collapse already anot. haben collapse shun bian have dinner there". anyway i din even pay for the food but they din want me to take a share of theirs either. think i ate only chix wings and prawns. and some egg soup. haha at least i filled my hungry stomach. tot they would have gotten their blades after an afternoon out.

thu was spent on 1 lesson. did housework in the morning b4 joining W and kun for a tan. i swam only 4 laps. too shack after the housework. went to get the crystal casing for the phone in the evening after the lesson. W looked shack but he went along anyway. i really appreciate that. din manage to get a nice pencil case (again!). watched Final Destination 3 b4 hitting the sack. fri was spent watching LOST season 1 from 10am all the way to 4.30pm. den had 1 lesson and went YD with Kel thereafter. totally wasted our time. haha. and boy, i was damn shack. slept at 3am consecutively for quite a few days. and spent the whole day watching LOST. i caught like 7 episodes. damn nice. but my head was spinning when i decided to stop at 4.30. somehow i cant watch tv for so long, even if its a good movie. but i can play the computer for longer without being shack. think watching tv is mindless whereas the computer is far more interactive. i guess thats why.

heh today is sat. polling day. rained 1st thing in the morning. and raining now again. spent the morning and afternoon on 3 lessons. debating where to go tonight...

2 lessons. followed by a back breaking carwash. damn the scoop is damn difficult to remove. and there are scars... really really regret sticking it on. learnt a lesson not to be a poser from now onwards. think i have decided not to change to GT wing. quite a poser thing to do. hmmm but removing the fishtail will result in holes... think i will leave it ba. see how 1st.

rained right after i washed the car. lucky i din wash it that cleanly. cos its quite tough washing the car when it has accumulated 3 weeks of dust and dirt and shit and watermarks. or is it 4 weeks? anyway think gonna wash again tml. just finished watching saving private ryan. quite a nice show. sigh war isnt a good thing. can get killed anytime. can also see a person's true character revealed. now im into war movies. heh.

went out with W juz now. din manage to go Burlington to get my crystal case for the V3i. and din manage to get W's shirt. its ok there is always another day. din do anything much except eating and shopping. well, window shopping in my case. whereas W spent some $$$. haiz no choice i dun have much $$$ to spend anyway.

man u lost to chelsea 3-0. expected. all the big talk about preventing chelsea from winning. luckily i din believe them. no heart break for me! so its cnfrmed that im saving $114. so happy, but in a sad way. haha.

happy with the V3i. not really used to it at 1st. but its quite ok now. still not that familiar, but well it will be ok soon. its not as user friendly as nokia, but motorola came up with something quite friendly as well. best thing is the design. damnedly slim. 2nd best is the 256MB memory. i couldnt care whether my inbox is 10 or 100. or that the mp3 song is 6MB or 1MB. too much space to be concerned about such stuff. the camera is quite ok. bluetooth works without a hitch. connected my headset easily. and W's 3230 as well. the hitch is that i encountered this problem whereby some pic files cant be opened as they are "too large". WTF? 2nd thing is that i had to figure out how to transfer files. but the motorola software is damn good. allows cropping of songs even. anyway sms isnt very laggy and neither is the program. hope everything is smooth.

now i know why pple feel that modding your car is pointless. cos i saw some pple who wanted to modify their V3i. kaoz changing software to control this and that and delete this and that. and doing something such that this light will flash and stuff. i think its nice la but i can do without it. i need the warranty, to say the least.

heh it all boils down to 1 thing: interest. whether you are interested in doing it anot. feeling happy that the exams are over. but not happy with the papers. nvm theres stuff to look forward to this hols. no job though. sad, i gotta work harder with tuition. else i will be damn poor. but hope there are nice developments coming my way. heh anyway summer ran 22k km already. time for servicing. dunno wad crap im gonna do to the car this hols. but i have pics ready to show any changes made. 1 thing is for sure. im gonna dekit the poser scoop. so i wun be condemned as a poser anymore. that shld be easy. the hard thing is dekitting the spoiler. haben made a decision about that. shld i change to a low GT wing, it will incur costs and as W agrees, it will make me even more of a poser. perhaps leave it ba, it doesnt look ugly. anyway i gotta go sleep now. bye!

N70 is good la but $498 is better. summore nokia doesnt sell chio chio phones like the V3. neither as slim. 8800 is chio but $1198 is the nicest of all. yes so $298 is $100 above my budget. well i think the free bluetooth headset costing $118 and 256MB memory card makes the $100 worth. at least to me la.

been spending relatively a lot of time on MSN recently as compared to the rest of this sem. which is coming to an end in a week. 2 more days and the madness will begin. feeling kan chiong now...

COE was flat today. din increase though car prices have went up recently. oil has breached $70. damn Iran. damn the commodities speculators. oil was only $20 a barrel in 2002. those were the good old days. expecting an increase in pump price.... mileage is 21+k km already. servicing is due but im gonna wait till after the exams.

man u drew with sunderland! a stoopid 0-0 draw. which left man u with almost zero chance of catching chelski. damn. sunderland conceded an average of 2 goals every match and man u cant score. o well too bad. like i told joseph juz nw, this saves me $110+. as well as the petrol to go down to orchard parade. at least Barca is on track for their double. will be interesting against milan.

and then 1 week of exams. and then... freedom. still no holiday job lined up. perhaps just tuition ba. no choice, the ones i applied for din yield any results. looking forward to the holidays. who doesnt?

world cup year. abit excited. but not as excited as in 2002. no betting involved u see. gonna test drive the tuscani. see if its as good as it looks. or maybe its just a wannabe. perhaps a whole load of other cars as well? nah, not a load, maybe a handful? cos Kelvin's bro gonna change car and i probably will get pulled along to check things out. well, i hope he pulls me along. and the march's dekitting. and... the highlight of the year... changing my damned tyres. heh i better shaddup now in case i dun manage to get it changed.

now, back to reality. singtel still refuses to drop prices. and i continue to refuse to pay them $100 more. ahhhhh. now im so used to the 8310 that i may just continue to use it. heh. ermz the living room television just exploded and my parents have decided not to repair it. the living room was full of smoke when i got back last sunday. and the rag-and-bone man juz bought it for $10. 29" thomson is that worthless. anyway got a JVC 29" for $499. my my i dun think its fantastically cheap but well its cheap compared to the LCD TVs. really expensive stuff.

now.... nothing really interesting to say... but W told me about his slides about his dream cars. heh. that fella has LOTS of dream cars. anyway i dun have many dream cars, but heres wad i have driven b4, which isnt alot. first off is of course Peter's SDP 7826 Sunny. which W, Pat & Kun have all driven b4 as well. i stalled the car umpteen times. and i whacked it to 4k rpm on the slope b4. hahaha. thoroughly utilising the fees i paid. its a comfy car and its quite nice to drive. after passing, drove a few old old cars. amazingly foolish to have rented them. the condition was quite bad but fortunately they din fail on me. heard that other people werent so lucky. anyway the old old green sunny was quite powerful. i stoopidly whacked it to 130km/h on TPE with Lincoln. i think both of us were quite crazy to whack such an old car. summmore both of us just got our licences. 不知天高地厚. heh tasted the power of orchard road parking that time when we played pool at meridien. and he slept over at my place cos he lived in Jurong East. i remember bringing back our duffle bags and fieldpacks cos we were gonna ORD. wah 1st time we ever drove in and out of camp. felt like kings man. no more walking the damned slope. well, for 2 days la. and i remember visiting yiwei's 1+ million house at thomson. quite high man think 3-4 floors. totally cool. ahhh all the happy memories of the last few months.

next was a wildly powerless concerto. i drove it like crap since my licence was so new. think W did reasonably well with that one. i rem driving it up a slope to a carpark in sentosa and it crawled up at gear 1. pengz. worst car i ever driven b4. heh all because the old lancer i got din have valid road tax. and if theres a roadblock, we will be so so dead. that lancer is reasonable. just that it had crap electronic windows. cant open fully cant close fully. wth? best rental was the presea. quite executive with remote alarm. everything works. went to buy my $1k pc at sim lim with Joseph. and i rem he told me not to be crazy and just take a cab back. u can see that im really crazy about driving.

next was a vios. the 1st and only automatic i ever driven. damn relaxing but quite dangerous since theres not much control over the car. heavy reliance on the brakes when stopping. and theres no sense of speed cos it goes above 100km/h w/o me noticing. its relatively new, low mileage, and quite solidly built la. well done for thailand! haha much better than the soluna i imagine. next is of course summer rain. brand new. not very solidly built. but cheap la wad to do. now that i have changed my driving habits, i feel its reasonably ok. best discovery was that its fc isnt as bad as wad pple think. oh yeah i test drove the current sunny and facelifted vios b4 as well. both are quite ok.

well i wanna find out hw the tuscani is like. heh. and a chance to drive a turbo. either a WRX or Evo is fine. hopefully the next car after the rio is a turbo. a manual turbo. a simple dream... no need for a million bucks. perhaps a condo. but definitely a manual turbo. well thats my current thinking now. who knows it might change.

its friday

spent the whole afternoon and night studying. quite happy with the progress made although i took 2 short naps in between. and daydreamed awhile after dinner. was driving back when i saw a yellow WRX tailgating a white Wish on Benjamin Sheares bridge. both were going at least 120. and the WRX overtook it damn quickly. was like watching The Fast and Furious. the Wish promptly tailgated the WRX in return. and right behind them were a white WRX and CS3. all very modded with stickers, exhaust, neon..... think was a group of friends out playing. all driving damn fast.

heh happening man but i din do anything foolish like following them la. they disappeared and i continued my own safety driving. was heeding my own advice to drive carefully. but lo and behold when i reached Loyang exit at the beginning of TPE, an Audi suddenly cut in front of me and jam braked cos some road works was going on under the bridge and there was a jam. i jam braked as well and the car skidded. road was wet but luckily i wasnt fast. can smell the smoke from the tyres man. and the sunny in the right lane horned at me! wad the hell, stoopid lady driver who road hogged on the way up the bridge from PIE to TPE and din thank me for not letting my car skid into her lane. i managed to turn back the skidding and just eat into her lane abit yet she horned at me. i nv even horn at the damn Audi. luckily in a good mood and just open pod off without even looking at the cock sunny lady. wad the hell drive slowly also kenna such an incident. think the Audi tot CMI korean car drive slower than him he can just eat into the damn lane abruptly.

haiya nvm juz 4get abt it. shall continue to drive safely.... vented my pissed-off-ness and now i find out yet again that the current tyres are so crappy. skidded quite a few times liao esp. on wet roads even if just braking gently. just CMI. luckily rain had stopped this time. and the smell of the smoked tyre.... wah damn strong. smelt it a few times already, and all from my own tyres summore. not cool at all la its damn dangerous. although spinning the tyres at the bus stop in front of Arts is abit cool. hehe. wonder if i can do it with performance tyres? perhaps can find out next time after i change. heh must have a new heading for the next entry.

stressful day

was fine going to school. till after lunch when i realised the 2006 VHDL lab test has got loads to study actually. this information courtesy of kun. fortunately the test was at 4.30 and i had about 3 hrs to study... damn stressed when i found out that i knew quite little. and i thought there was nothing much to study... while kun was having a nice nap, i was mugging away... to think that i had griped about the test timing starting so late while normal labs started at 2pm.

when the test started, oh wow the rest all started typing furiously, whereas i was reading the question over and over again. hell, i was sian hearing all the typing when i wasnt even halfway through planning. luckily i recalled my little practice during D2A intro labs and my last minute learning. think i wont fail very badly... hope i wun.

heh anyway thats the end of ALL my 13 labs. all projects completed as well. time to take a short short breather b4 facing the exams... im like so dead with so many things to catch up... gonna get screwed...

pat's been gone a week. joseph, a month+. quite fast eh? who knows in a blink of an eye 28 apr will arrive in a flash. and the much anticipated holidays will be here. drats. was very reckless today when coming back home. lab test ended at 6+ and the jam was in full force. AYE ECP wasnt very bad... but i nearly kissed a sunny... din really brake much when the sunny suddenly jammed brake... sigh was just reminding myself last week to drive more carefully. sucks man can imagine the scolding if i caused an accident... please please please be more careful...

in the process of formulating a business plan. and still looking for that holiday job which will pay well and take up little time. well take up little time cos i still have to give tuition. but still looking since kun continually encourages me to do something more constructive for the resume. all these, in the name of making more $$$$$$$$$. heh sometimes i feel theres no point earning so much if you simply keep it. spending it is the fun.... not that im advocating people to be spendthrifts. spend within your means! as for me now, i dun even have much to spend on a new phone. since i expect to spend alot during the hols, i cant help but be happy with what i have now. please please dun start on soccer betting... i cant afford to lose any $$$. sigh can i dream up a lucrative business idea? yahoo's pretty lucrative, but i dun have anything much to sell now. and i din win the 10 million TOTO.... and i cant teach extra tuition cos exams are coming... stressssssssssssssssss

2 more weeks and we are through... to the exams. thats a sobering thought. finally 12 labs out of the 13 this sem are done. 2006 project is done. 2006 4-page report done. 2006 quiz buang-ed. 2009 quiz buang-ed. 2010 mid term over. 2011 mid term over. 1527 quiz buang-ed. 1527 2-page essay done. 1415 20-page project done. gearing up for exams.

patrick is gone. no sign of him online yet. been online the past few days to finish projects. but haben really had the time or mood to blog. attempts to land a holiday job are still unsuccessful thus far. kun has condemned me to being a tutor. not nice for the resume he says. yeah correct, but no job pays so highly and yet work such short hours. boy do i need $$$$ this holidays. lots of tuition assignments recently but im already full so i cant take up any. sad. exams coming summore. dun even know how to cut down on tuition, much less take up more assignments.

summer has gone 20+k km. 1 year already. how time flies. i will forever remember march 14, 2005. it is 1 of the happiest, happiest days in my life. nah, its THE happiest one. looking back, i really appreciate the convenience, and the cost, of owning a car. but i really look forward to going to school and tuition this past year. have the chance to drive, you see. oh but i feel im driving recklessly recently... better tone down... esp. when i rode W's car... although he says he is scared to drive fast, but i feel that he drives well, although slower than what im usually used to. im more reckless you see. he is more conscious of safety, which is something i have to take note of more often... yeah yeah im the impatient sort when im in a hurry. pat will laugh if he sees this. he is a pretty good driver too. yeah im the most reckless driver among my jc buddies.

saw 1 of my uni frenz driving a SFY jazz. changed both bumpers to huge bodykits, changed euro tail lights. but stock rims. looks fierce. should ask him what he did if i see him next time. 1 white rex, and 1 white lancer sports. and a mr2. and a black civic es5 wif sticker licence plate in front. all quite fierce. a purple Evo too! all parked in engin....

back in 405, a black civic esi owned by a SSG, a grey lancer cs2, a black vios. all bodykitted and lowered... the esi was previously very ugly with a horrible kit. 1 fine day he changed kits and a high high spoiler. very nice 14 yr old car i would say. same 15" rims though. the other 2 are both on 16"s. heh very nice leh. oh yeah the black spectra is gone. no bodykit and not lowered, but abit fierce la. the uncle changed to a black carens with bodykit and scoop. mai siao siao. stock rims and not lowered though. oh yeah another white esi with kit. old car, but seems like it appeared not long ago... seems lowered. last but not least, a SGD cerato with kit. OPC and not lowered though. even W says the cerato sports looks nice. quite fierce sia my carpark. no Evo or WRX though.

haiya thinking about modding will make me a little happy. lifts my spirits abit. people will ask whats the point of modding. but i feel those who arent interested wun appreciate it. a car is just a car. why mod? its like asking whats the diff between Giordano and Levi's jeans. its all jeans. whats the diff between Renoma and LV wallets? its all wallets. whats the diff between a 6510 and a N70? its all phones. a man's meat is another man's poison la. they wun appreciate the difference between a stock tyre and a Yokohama AVS ES100. its all tyres who cares about grip? lowering springs or coilovers vs. stock springs? lower body can cup corners better and is more stable but people dun see the point. so whenever im asked "whats the point of modding your car?" by pple, i have nothing to say.... wasting my breath.

week 9 of 13

make it 9 out of 12. i need the 2 weeks to study. hope i can cut down on tuition. was feeling abit down last week. got back the midterms and they sucked big time. esp genes and design. oh man what to do. time to pull up my socks higher. did abit of controls and almost finished my 1415 essay. time to finish it up tml. get it over and done with.

caught Underworld Evolution. pretty nice. gory. but i dig such shows. Audrey Tautou seems pretty. shes aged though. looking forward to her with Tom Hanks in Da Vinci's Code.

anyway tml is Summer's birthday. about 14 hrs from now. mileage is 19k+ already. petrol prices went up for a day and came back down again. luckily shell din budge. phew! as usual, looking forward to alot of things. but... studies have become the no. 1 priority for now. for the next 7 weeks in fact. shant talk anymore. im tired and tml's reverie is at 0630. and i still have a pile of work to do.

no sign of the 3230. has it really gone extinct? 6230i is still at 248. i may get that for all i know. 6111 is out since it doesnt have expandable memory. v3x is released! 478 nia. amazingly, v3i is still 398. still playing the waiting game.

well time's up for those waiting for car prices to drop. game's over. prices went up by 5k when the govt announced a cut in COE quota. coe for march went up 2k. and the coming one is expected to go up 5k. good times are over.... who knows i might be able to sell summer at 50k the next few years. now who says cars are depreciating assets? haha.

fervently hoping to change rims. cant stand the sight of the lorry rims now. it looks so freaking small. sigh the tread is stopping me... its not worn out much. witnessed 1st hand how to go about changing tyres. my dad got a puncture when he came back and the tyre was so flat.

watched Girl Next Door yesterday. i watched it b4 actually. Elisha Cuthbert is really captivating to me. haha. gonna go dream about her now. bye.

finally the week has ended. another hell week like b4. with 3 labs. awww shucks the 2006 test was really bad. 2009 will be worse i think. well im working on it.... jia you!!! including all of you guys who are studying....

i finally remembered the title of the sucky R(A) movie. its called Kinsey. maybe i dunno how to appreciate it. well week 8 is coming. 5 more weeks and we are done. oh yeah another 10 days and summer is 1 year old. come to think of it, its really fast. well no presents for it though. haha. gotta go sleep now. nitez and take good care.

on a lighter note, i was pretty happy yesterday. haha. anyway i juz paid $1042.99 for insurance and $448.50 for road tax a few days ago. thats a HUGE amount of $$$$$. heh. summer juz clocked over 18k km a few days back. 2 more weeks to 14 March. will probably hit 19k km then. below average user!

well Man U hammered Wigan 4-0 to win the League Cup. how pathetic. winning a cup which they themselves deem unimportant. for the past 4 years, they won the League in 02/03, won the FA Cup in 03/04, lost the FA Cup final to Arsenal in 04/05 and won the League Cup in 05/06. 3 trophies in 4 years isnt a bad result. but at Man U, its considered a failure. haben won the League in 3 seasons and the Champions League in 7 years. well, what to do.

incoherent thoughts

its been a week since i blogged. no, i wasnt that busy during the "holidays". the so called 4-day "break". had a BBQ with the usual JC gang minus Joseph. plus Kevin. on Tues. din manage to pick up blading. well theres always the next time. apart from that, had been dilligently studying for the test today. and in the end i found it hard though i did lots of papers. sigh. coming 6 weeks will be tough. steeling myself for it.

caught Munich yesterday. cool movie. very retro but well paced. amazing movie actually. much better than the 2 recent ones i caught. namely I Not Stupid Too and Fearless. lotsa new movies coming. X3, M:I3, Jarhead sounds good. Underworld 2. I din catch Underworld. oh yeah Final Destination 3 is out. haven been watching much movies these few years... its actually very nice to catch a good movie. leaves me feeling satisfied. i should go read up on the 1972 Munich Games. im such a history buff. anyway i finished The Da Vinci Code and Rule of Four a while back. The Da Vinci Code is good. well it lives up to its hype. what can i say. looking forward to the movie as well. oh yeah Memoirs of a Geisha is coming too... haben went around to reading the book yet. Rule of Four is comparatively boring. but i think its pretty ok too.

well. lemme list the movies i watched the past few years. can be counted by hand. Munich, Fearless, I Not Stupid Too, Harry Potter Goblet of Fire, Goal, Seven Swords, War of the Worlds (quite lousy considering the hype), Initial D, Kingdom of Heaven, The Best Bet, White Chicks, Ocean's Twelve, The Day After Tomorrow. and an R(A) show which is so bad that i cant remember the title. Goal has sequels. is it Real: The Movie? gosh Santiago Munez is so inspiring. i missed SPL. and i din catch I Not Stupid. hmmmm GV hasnt earned alot of my $$$$$$ these few years.

well cable is expensive. $35 per month including soccer. hmmm still thinking about it. haha chelsea lost to barca. very satisfying. but real lost to arsenal. its such an unpredictable game. best not to start betting again. i noticed todays papers excluded adverts on 3230. only 2 things come to mind. 1) its gonna surface again in a week or 2 at a lower price. 2) its extinct. well lets wait and see. honestly i feel like getting a phone NOW! heh car prices are inching up. nothing done to ARF during the budget. oh yeah how much am i getting? i still remember the pain of missing $400 by 1 day. everybody got it except me. enuff said.

i have just changed my dream ride

its official as of now. i have changed my dream ride from a Subaru Impreza WRX STi to a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX GSR. why? heres why.

1) highway TP is using the base WRX. stuck on so many orange stickers. and the ugly flashing lights. highway patrol used to have a cool single bulb blue flashing light on the BMWs and Volvos, not those red and blue wide-as-the-whole-roof kind found on neighbourhood patrol cars. yucks.

2) reason no. 1 was juz kidding. the real reason is that the Impreza underwent a facelift this year and acquired the F1 style nose. IMHO, not very nice. the GD was the best, nicer than the bugeye. 2nd best was the slim eye. if u know Impreza history that is.

3) most important reason: price. the Evo VIII MR cost 160k. the Evo IX GSR cost 127k. large discount for a newer model. no idea why. but this certainly makes it attractive. comparatively, the WRX STi costs 118k.

4) 10k price diff is explained by 40 HP. Evo has 320 while STi has 280. 0-100km/h in 5 sec flat, compared to 5.4 for STi.

5) 2nd most important reason: much less common than STi. alot of people modded their base WRX to a STi. even TS to STi. now, nobody can mod a Lancer to an Evo.

hehe. doubt will be changing anytime soon though. sigh Man Utd lost to Liverpool. sucky. luckily i followed my brain and din bet, instead of my heart. level ball was tempting. well, i better not start.... saved $100 today.

mid term break!!

finally a breather! 1 week holiday which i must utilise to the max. no la not to the max. i need to relax.... the test on fri was rubbish. im done for this time. the lab was much better. hmmm hell week is over! time to look forward to the holidays, beginning today.

man utd vs. liverpool FA Cup tie. but nobody wanna watch.... so sad. thinking of installing cable... hmmm juz considering la.

yesterday's entry

typed yesterday but couldnt load it up. luckily i saved a copy b4 it failed to load.

sigh. the 2006 test was horrible. even kun feels so. the 2011 lab b4 the test was horrible too. din know wad was going on through out the lab. spent the whole night finishing the report. now its 1am+ already. luckily we could bring it home. else i would have gotten 0 marks for it. yes it was that bad. so, after the doom and gloom, 2 labs and 1 test down. 1 lab and 1 test to go... gotta go to skool tml juz to hand up the freaking lab report.

had the impulse to buy the 6230i yesterday. luckily din succumb to it. impulse buys are regretful. luckily they dun occur to me much. i take pride in the fact that i dun usually buy on impulse. but then there were a few times i regret not buying something there and then. and i couldnt go back and get it. well i suppose its give and take.

din know that the Silvia had 250 horsepower. thats awesome. how come nissan stopped producing the Silvia and Skyline? sad. so many good cars are gone now.

just a short one

juz pumped petrol and i clocked 15.3km/l. new record. seems like open pod doesnt affect FC much. in fact this is the best tank since i got the car. clocking average of 14km/l after changing to open pod. well, quite surprising to say the least.

oh yes. 2 new driving patterns to boot. no more PIE-> CTE-> AYE. its just ECP-> AYE now. yes its further, but the view is nicer and more importantly traffic is smoother. i hate driving in jams. 2nd thing is im finally utilising the radio licence fee now. stopped listening to CDs all the time and listening to Class 95 instead. the irritating Rod and Glen and FD. but theres nice songs to be heard. well actually im sick of the CDs even though its a 10 disc changer.

finally gotten round to buying the biotech textbook. hope its useful. well off to study for my tests now. ciaoz.

hello. long time no see

haben been online much this week except for a little while last monday and fri. wanted very much to blog a few words, but was down with fever. no mood.

joseph left on monday to winter wonderland. sadz. 1 buddy less. pat is leaving end of this month. another buddy missing. hopefully will save some money ($1000 is not "some" money; its freaking ALOT!) and go visit...

wants very much to change hp. as usual, waiting for price to drop.... sux man always waiting. v3i looks good and has the features i want. nokia. lets juz say they dun make funky phones which are cheap. 6230i and 3230 are rectangular blocks.

middle of feb. 2 tests this week. 3 labs. i hope i can make it to fri. liberation! 1 week break. ahhhhhhh how shiok. Valentines Day this tues. doesnt matter. a loser like me doesnt have any appointments that day. its just any other ordinary day.

summer rain mileage 17.5k km. 17500000. 11 months old in 2 days. 1 month 2 days to hit 2.5k km so that im an average user. thats around 5 more tanks of petrol. doubt i will hit that. road tax and insurance coming up. well still fantasising about a new set of rims. make it 16 inches. make it gold in colour. haha im a hopeless case. might not be changing anytime soon though since throwing 20k km tyres are abit of a waste. seeing the current 13" rims makes me puke. and the tyre grip is poor... anyway petrol prices dropped back finally. hope this continues. ramming alot these days. the sound of the open pod is addictive. dun bother about FC much anymore. well, its proven. 1 year after getting a new car and first-time-owners will be immune to dings and scratches. and heck care about FC.

hope joseph isnt freezing his ass off. -7 to 5 degrees Celsius. apparently his Internet connection isnt up. no sign of him on MSN. wonder if his apartment has the washing machine and fridge and heater he wanted. and hot water. not that i can do anything about it. time to crawl into my bed and enjoy the 28 degrees Celsius night. dun be jealous joseph. good night everyone.

learnt this kinda nonsense over the holidays. its from Young & Dangerous V. how productive. but its shiok to juz eat drink watch DVDs and chit chat mindlessly with no deadlines to rush nor important things to do. come May, this will be the kind of life undergrads all over singapore will lead again!! yayyyyy!!! well, except for those who find a job and slog real hard over the hols....

siao liao today was a notti boi, cut 2 tutorial classes to do tutorials at home. guess the 3 hrs spent to go skool for tutorials might as well be better spent at home actually doing them. but i discovered the solutions are not uploaded online.... yet. so frustrating not being able to check my answers....

sigh kena poison from W cos i saw the Rio bodykit again juz now..... so tempted.... shall go to sleep on this.... nitez!

week 3 of skool term is coming to an end

and im so dead. so many lectures and tutorials to print. and needless to say, do. omg im already lagging. better buck up after CNY!

a break from tuition during the coming weekend. how nice. but no $$$$. im such a sad case right?

haha Ann Kok is MAD! but shes still quite hot although most agree that she aged much after coming back from HK. hehe Kenix Kwok looks good too... saw quite a few chiobus during the genes lecture today. ahhh engin juz CMI. sad case.

jammed like crazy with accidents at PIE and AYE in the morning at 9+. better drive carefully and not tailgate... CTE was jammed when going home at 4+. and i thought jams started at 6+. wads the world coming to these days? muz be CNY mood nobodys working. cos not much traffic at Loyang Ave when i left home at 6+pm. ah petrol is gonna go up again next week i think. better pump b4 that.
